About

🐦 Photograph and log 5 species

🏆 Spread the love for birds through your photos and earn your finisher’s badge

⭐ Win amazing Birdfy AI Cams

Every birder knows the thrill—just one more bird, and suddenly you've spent the afternoon immersed in nature. This holiday season, Birdfy invites you to capture that magic with a holiday birdwatching challenge!

To complete the challenge, all you have to do is photograph and log at least 5 bird species between 17 Dec - 17 Jan. Get your finisher’s badge and be in with a chance to win a Smart Birdfy Feeder Bamboo ($279.99), a Smart Birdfy Feeder ($219.99) or some Premium Bird Seed ($19.99).

Birdfy makes the ultimate camera and AI bird identification birdfeeders, blending technology with a love for nature so you never miss a bird visit. So, grab your camera or smartphone, get outdoors and let’s go birding.

No need to be a pro, any photo counts!

To be added to the prize draw, you just need to complete the challenge. It's not about being at the top of the leaderboard - although that does feel nice - it's about birds, fun and photos; in that order!

This challenge is for anyone with a Birda account. This challenge is for tickable species only. You can read more about tickable species here.

This challenge starts and ends based on the Eastern Standard Time (EST) time zone. All individual species logged globally will count towards this challenge and will be included in any leaderboard placement. All sightings must be logged before midnight on the day the challenge ends.

Be honest with yourself and other birders, but above all, respectful of them and any other outdoor users, everywhere – especially online. If you didn’t see it (or hear it), please don’t put it on Birda.

Makes you want to spot birds more
I think this app is fun. It makes you want to spot birds more so I guess in a way it encourages you to get out and about instead of sitting in front of the TV.

My favourite app
As a young birdwatcher who was always keen to be apart of a community but never seemed to find one, my problem was solved downloading this!!! Everyone is so friendly and just as excited to see birds as me 😁

A Friendly Place
I love using the bird app, I have a pretty good knowledge of birds. But I do have some gaps in it, so it’s nice to have a safe space to check on a sighting to confirm the species. It’s really enjoyable and I love the badges you can collect. It’s like a real life Pokémon go.

Very good database
Highly recommend. It great that this app shows you male Vs female variations when posting. Very good database I'm really impressed.

The best bird logging app
Birda is honestly the best bird logging app I have seen. I love all the features it has from being able to do a session and log all the birds you see in one sitting, to being able to connect with other birders from all over the globe!

Learning Birding with Birda
I’m relatively new to birding as a hobby, and Birda is a great way to keep track off all the species I see. I’m still working on my ID skills, but the app is great for figuring out potential species, and the online community is so friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend Birda to both early and serious birders! 🐦
