This species can be identified by its vibrant yellow throat, a feature that contrasts with its olive-green upperparts and paler underparts. The bird's eyes are keen and surrounded by a subtle eye-ring, while its bill is designed for a generalist diet.

Habitat

The Yellow-throated Leaflove thrives in a variety of environments, including subtropical or tropical dry forests, moist savannas, and subtropical or tropical moist shrublands. These habitats provide the leaflove with ample foraging opportunities and nesting sites.

Distribution

The bird is found across a broad range in western and central Africa, where it flits through the foliage in search of sustenance.

Behaviour

Observations of the Yellow-throated Leaflove reveal a bird that is both active and vocal. It is often seen in pairs or small groups, engaging in typical bulbul behavior as it moves through the trees.

Clean and easy to use
Really enjoying this app, it's clean and easy to use. I love the ease of being able to add those one-off birds without starting a whole checklist. I also like the social aspect, like the parts of my Facebook I like, without the ads and junk, just birds. Can't wait to see it become more populated.

A great app
Enjoying it immensely and finding it useful too. Recording the different birds and counting them is showing me how the present climate is affecting them all. I've trebled the numbers by planting native hedging. A great app.
