đŚ Log 30 species đ Anywhere
This June, itâs time to ruffle some feathersâin the best way. Your mission: spot and log 30 bird species in 30 days. Whether youâre a seasoned birder or just winging it, grab your binoculars, join the flock, and let the birding escapade begin!
This month's bird is the Common Nightingale (Luscinia megarhynchos), famous for its powerful, melodic song that fills the air on spring and summer nights. Though modest in appearance, this shy birdâs voice is unmatched, with a rich variety of trills and whistles. Found across Europe and parts of Asia, the nightingaleâs population is declining due to habitat loss, making every encounter even more special.
This challenge is for anyone with a Birda account. This challenge is for tickable species only. You can read more about tickable species here.
This challenge starts and ends based on the GMT time zone. All individual species logged globally will count towards this challenge and will be included in any leaderboard placement. All sightings must be logged before midnight on the day the challenge ends.
Be honest with yourself and other birders, but above all, respectful of them and any other outdoor users, everywhere â especially online. If you didnât see it (or hear it), please donât put it on Birda.
