About

๐Ÿฆ Log 15 species

๐Ÿ“ Rutland County, United Kingdom

We're back with the Global Birdfair Challenge for 2024! We're partnering with Opticron to encourage you to head out and log 15 species (or more!) in the county of Rutland, United Kingdom during the Birdfair week - 7th to 13th July.

Join today to take part!

Head out, head up and see how many different species you can see at the 2025 Global Birdfair! You just need to log 15 species in the county of Rutland to complete the challenge.

This challenge is for anyone with a Birda account. This challenge is for tickable species only. You can read more about tickable species here.

This challenge starts and ends based on the UK time zone. All individual species logged within the county of Rutland will count towards this challenge and will be included in any leaderboard placement. All sightings must be logged before midnight on the day the challenge ends.

Be honest with yourself and other birders, but above all, respectful of them and any other outdoor users, everywhere โ€“ especially online. If you didnโ€™t see it (or hear it), please donโ€™t put it on Birda.

Simply fantastic
I love this app, it puts so much fun into recording the birds Iโ€™ve seen and heard while Iโ€™m out and about. The interface is user-friendly and suitable for all ages. Itโ€™s great to collect badges and to review my โ€œlistsโ€.

Great app for beginner twitchers
Iโ€™ve had a passion of photographing birds for a long time now but have only just gotten into proper birdwatching, and this app is brilliant for those just getting started. There is a great sense of community among users and the app is very easy to use and professional. Awesome app altogether

Clean and easy to use
Really enjoying this app, it's clean and easy to use. I love the ease of being able to add those one-off birds without starting a whole checklist. I also like the social aspect, like the parts of my Facebook I like, without the ads and junk, just birds. Can't wait to see it become more populated.

Learning Birding with Birda
Iโ€™m relatively new to birding as a hobby, and Birda is a great way to keep track off all the species I see. Iโ€™m still working on my ID skills, but the app is great for figuring out potential species, and the online community is so friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend Birda to both early and serious birders! ๐Ÿฆ

Easy to use and accurate
Love this app. It is easy to use and accurate, Their backup communication is really good. I noted a missing species. All through the process, I was kept informed about the progress in correcting the information. I now have the corrected, updated version. ๐Ÿ˜ Thanks!

Birda is honestly the best bird logging app I have seen. I love all the features it has from being able to do a session and log all the birds you see in one sitting, to being able to connect with other birders from all over the globe!
