This feathered creature is adorned with a subtle yet enchanting plumage that blends harmoniously with the verdant hues of its natural environment.

To identify this elusive bird, one must look for its modest size and the yellow streaks that grace its plumage. Observers should note the bird's overall greenish coloration, which serves as a splendid camouflage amidst the foliage.

There are two recognized subspecies of the Lowland Tiny Greenbul. The Rabai Yellow-streaked Bulbul (P. d. rabai) is found in southeastern Kenya and northeastern Tanzania, while the North Nyasa Yellow-streaked Bulbul (P. d. debilis), also known as the Smaller Yellow-streaked Bulbul, inhabits the region from southeastern Tanzania to eastern Zimbabwe and southern Mozambique.

What Our Birders Say

A great app
Enjoying it immensely and finding it useful too. Recording the different birds and counting them is showing me how the present climate is affecting them all. I've trebled the numbers by planting native hedging. A great app.

A Friendly Place
I love using the bird app, I have a pretty good knowledge of birds. But I do have some gaps in it, so it’s nice to have a safe space to check on a sighting to confirm the species. It’s really enjoyable and I love the badges you can collect. It’s like a real life Pokémon go.

Friendly and helps to identify birds
Great birding app, good for logging your sightings, also has nice species guide. I'm enjoying the social aspect more than I expected, everyone seems friendly and helps to identify unknown birds. Good mix of newbies and experienced users.

Makes you want to spot birds more
I think this app is fun. It makes you want to spot birds more so I guess in a way it encourages you to get out and about instead of sitting in front of the TV.
