The Erythrocercus genus consists of three flycatcher species endemic to Africa, which are grouped in the Erythrocercidae family established in 2012. The species include the Little Yellow Flycatcher (Erythrocercus holochlorus) distributed across Kenya, Somalia, and Tanzania; Livingstone's Flycatcher (Erythrocercus livingstonei) found in Malawi, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe; and the Chestnut-capped Flycatcher (Erythrocercus mccallii) with a range that includes several countries from Angola and Cameroon to Uganda. These birds are characterized by their distinctive coloration and can be seen in various habitats within their respective regions.
