Pelicans

The Pelecanidae family, part of the pelecaniform birds, includes both extinct and extant genera: Eopelecanus and Miopelecanus, which no longer exist, and Pelecanus, which is still present today. These birds have been around since the late Eocene epoch and continue to be found in the world now, showcasing their enduring presence through millions of years of evolutionary history.

Really great app

It’s easy to use and it’s fun to log the birds you notice on a walk or just in your garden. There’s a option to record the birds you see in a session which is really nice. Good excuse to stop for a while and just watch birds. I am also enjoying the information part where you can find out fact about birds from all over the world.

Downloaded Birda around the time my interest in birding was sparked, and it has been a terrific app to help me (1) share my experience, (2) document my sightings, and (3) learn more about birds in general. Great birding app, good for logging your sightings, also has nice species guide. I'm enjoying the social aspect more than I expected, everyone seems friendly and helps to identify unknown birds. Good mix of newbies and experienced users.
