Old World Parrots

The Psittaculidae family, which includes Old World parrots, is made up of five subfamilies: Agapornithinae, Loriinae, Platycercinae, Psittacellinae, and Psittaculinae. Recognized officially by The Clements Checklist of Birds of the World since 2014 and also by the IOC World Bird List, this group encompasses a diverse range of 192 species dispersed across 53 different genera. These species exhibit a variety of adaptations suited to their environments across the Old World regions.

Very wholesome app: I joined this app with a new interest in watching birds to help me find out what I was spotting. This is a really lovely app, for everyone interested in birds - from newbies to old hands. There is a very friendly feel to the community and you will genuinely learn a lot as you record your sightings and photos.
