The Papuan logrunner, also known as the New Guinea logrunner, is a distinct species of bird belonging to the family Orthonychidae. This avian marvel was once thought to be the same species as the Australian logrunner, but it has since been recognized as its own unique entity.
Habitat
The Papuan logrunner is a denizen of the highlands of New Guinea. It thrives in the lush and verdant realms of subtropical or tropical moist montane forests, where the air is crisp and the foliage dense.

According to the IUCN Red List of Threatened Species, the Papuan logrunner is classified as Least Concern. This status indicates that, for now, the species does not face an immediate threat of extinction in the wild.

Terrific App for Birders

Great birding app, good for logging your sightings, also has nice species guide. I'm enjoying the social aspect more than I expected, everyone seems friendly and helps to identify unknown birds. Good mix of newbies and experienced users.

Very Wholesome App
Joined this app with a new interest in watching birds to help me find out what I was spotting. The community is very active in helping identify birds which is great and everyone is very kind so it’s just a nice wholesome community. I would definitely recommend this for any bird spotter 😄
