Observation Details: My 800th species of bird!!!!!!!! Had a couple probable ones in the light but thankfully was able to get some for sure via John’s spotlight after dusk. Probably many more but hard to be sure Checklist Comments: Came to view parrot roost but found it exceedingly difficult to separate the two species with just my bins. Luckily ran into John who had a scope and was able to spotlight the birds for me after dark (!) on the roost and helped me confirm my ID suspicions and secure my 800th lifer. Note to any prospective visiting birders - BRING A SCOPE! Protocol: eBird - Stationary Count Duration (minutes): 64 Number of Observers: 1

Terrific App for Birders

Downloaded Birda around the time my interest in birding was sparked, and it has been a terrific app to help me (1) share my experience, (2) document my sightings, and (3) learn more about birds in general. I use this app all the time as it’s quick and easy to log individual sightings or whole birding sessions. It’s an excellent way to meet new people and the forum is full of really friendly people. The challenges are a great way to get involved and learn more about birds. Cannot recommend it enough!

Fantastic App

This is a really lovely app, for everyone interested in birds - from newbies to old hands. There is a very friendly feel to the community and you will genuinely learn a lot as you record your sightings and photos. There are lots of badges and competitions to keep you engaged, and a host of really useful features.

Great bird recording

For a while I’ve been trying to find an app to easily record bird lists and day out and struggled to find one that I like. Birda is great for this, straightforward and a great community!
