Sighting

Checklist Comments: Seabirding pelagic trip aboard the Stormy Petrel II, from the shelf break offshore to about 700 fathoms (4,200 feet) and back to the shelf break. We also saw 2 Sperm Whales on this leg. There were really flocks of feeding shearwaters offshore today and we were able to go from flock to flock looking for anything different! Fish, mostly small tunas, were driving bait fish and flying fishes to the surface and the shearwaters were taking advantage of this. It was what we hope to see in the summer months and we were not disappointed with thousands of shearwaters tallied! The tropical terns are just starting to show up so it was nice to see both Sooty and Bridled Terns out there as well. Protocol: eBird - Traveling Count Duration (minutes): 342 Number of Observers: 22 Distance Traveled (km): 46.671 [Imported scientific name: Pterodroma hasitata (Dark-faced)]

Work together with community
Been loving using this app to log my bird sightings and work together with community members to identify different birds. I've already learned a lot since I started about a month ago!

Recommend for any bird watcher
Very wholesome app: I joined this app with a new interest in watching birds to help me find out what I was spotting. The community is very active in helping identify birds which is great and everyone is very kind so it’s just a nice wholesome community. I would definitely recommend this for any bird spotter 😃

Clean and easy to use
Really enjoying this app, it's clean and easy to use. I love the ease of being able to add those one-off birds without starting a whole checklist. I also like the social aspect, like the parts of my Facebook I like, without the ads and junk, just birds. Can't wait to see it become more populated.

Learning Birding with Birda
I’m relatively new to birding as a hobby, and Birda is a great way to keep track off all the species I see. I’m still working on my ID skills, but the app is great for figuring out potential species, and the online community is so friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend Birda to both early and serious birders! 🐦

Easy to use and accurate
Love this app. It is easy to use and accurate, Their backup communication is really good. I noted a missing species. All through the process, I was kept informed about the progress in correcting the information. I now have the corrected, updated version. 😁 Thanks!

Really great app
It’s easy to use and it’s fun to log the birds you notice on a walk or just in your garden. There’s a option to record the birds you see in a session which is really nice. Good excuse to stop for a while and just watch birds. I am also enjoying the information part where you can find out fact about birds from all over the world.
